Lupine on North Haven Maine seen on a daytrip in 1998 but not painted til 2010 with lots of 'artistic license'. North Haven is an island off the coast of Rockland. One can reach it by ferry - about an hour's ride. There is a year round community as well as lots of summer residences.

From here in Rockland you can see the breakwater lighthouse and walk 1/2(?) mile out in the harbor to reach it. You can also go to Port Clyde to visit Marshall Point lighthouse, which you may remember from Forest Gump's (the movie) run across the U.S.A. The Belted Galloway cows herd graze peacefully at Rockport's Aldermere Farm and offer idyllic watching of these strong gentle cattle.
