Description
Two black lab dogs linger beneath the trees next to the Craignair Inn at Clark Island village, a part of Spruce Head Maine. The Inn stands at the start of a causeway to the island. On the island is a quarry. It has been years since the quarry was mined for granite or limestone. Much of this granite and limestone made its way to the buildings in New York City. People swim at the quarry now. One must take a bit of a hike onto the island to get to the quarry.
This version of the image can print larger than its double seen elsewhere on this page.
